In-School & Out-of-School History Education Program
This interactive, historic program has been touring to schools
around Boston since February of 2007. Two actors take on multiple
roles to bring the stories of the Boston Massacre, the Tea Party,
and Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride to life! The one-hour presentation
covers the major events of the Revolution in Boston, including
several subjects required for the history curriculum as outlined
by the Massachusetts Department of Education. A question and answer
session for the students follows the presentation. The program is
tailored to appeal to your class regardless of age or experience.
Teachers can also request a lesson plan to supplement the program.
By engaging the students in a dramatic way, the program helps
children LEARN and REMEMBER the events and leaders of the
American Revolution.
In the past three seasons, we have presented the program in
65 schools for over 4,000 students. The response and enthusiasm
for the program has been amazing and exceeded expectations.
And bookings are already rolling in for the coming year!
“This fits in with our curriculum perfectly. Students were engaged
from the beginning to end. Performers were outstanding. The performance
was much more than I expected. I would most definitely recommend this for
ANY class studying the Revolution. The program was awesome!”
Dona Williams – 5th grade teacher
Eliot K – 8 School, Boston, MA
“The students loved it! I would recommend this to other teachers.
It’s absolutely a phenomenal learning experience.”
Kristine Brown – 5th grade teacher
Community School, Cumberland, RI
“Judith and Benji (the actors) did a wonderful job appealing to
our middle school age group. They kept the students actively involved
and entertained from the beginning until the end of the performance.
The materials covered even more than I anticipated with very clear
and complete details. In fact, we invited other teachers to visit
during the program and see first hand how much the students enjoyed
it! We can’t wait to do it all again next year! Thank you so much
for making history so fun!”
Diane Capirchio – 7th grade teacher
Park View Middle School, Cranston, RI
“The students barely blinked during the presentation! Anyone
studying the Revolution would benefit from this program. History
came to life! Keep us on the list for next year!”
